Positive: Top floor double room with balcony was comfortable and spacious - with a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Walk in shower had strong water pressure and plenty of hot water, basic shower gel provided. Decent hairdryer. We also appreciated the large bottle of complementary water and little chocolates on the pillows. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was OK but nothing special – standard continental choice of ham, cheese, spreads, yoghurts. Only filter coffee was served and hard boiled eggs.
Negative: Communication was a bit of an issue as none of the hosts seem to speak any English so we didn't interact much and couldn't ask any questions or recommendations. Luckily a "welcome book" in English is provided in the room which explains the basics but we had to guess where we could put our skis / boots (no ski room). Our flight was delayed so we had to check in late but it wasn’t clear how to gain access or what code was needed or how to pick up the keys – ended up having to call as none of the booking.com codes worked. Only at check-out we found out that there is an extra local tax to pay – which was €18 for 3 nights – apparently it's standard but it wasn’t mentioned at time of booking. Location is OK if you have a car but there is little immediately close to the hotel (no shops but you can buy drinks at the hotel). There is also no common space where you can wait after a check-out – sitting in the breakfast room area was not allowed even though it was empty. Something easy to fix - there is black mould around the bathroom skylight window.
Summary: Nice clean rooms but could be better value and more accommodating
